James's Story
Life
It is always interesting to see how you would summarize your life so far. Well, here's the standard stuff.
I went to UCI for two years and then transferred to CSU Fullerton where I graduated with degrees in Finance and Computer Science. The computer science was a fluke. I just thought I ought to learn a little more about computers since everyone was using them. I got out of school and found out there were more and better paying jobs in Information tech, and have mostly been doing that ever since. I also went to CSULA for an MBA just for good measure.
I got married to a lovely lady I met at CSUF and we have been married for 25 years. We have two sons who are now 19 and 22 and making their way through college.

mentioned, I have worked mostly in the I.T. field as a developer, analyst, manager, but also spent a few years as a product manager in the marketing area. About 14 years ago, I got tired of working free overtime for a big consulting firm and became an independent consultant. About 12 years ago, I started my own company, SoftMaster, with one partner. We have done pretty well over the years and now have two offices--one in Irvine and one in Shanghai, China. I travel there 3 or 4 times a year and feel right at home there.
With the boys in school locally, we don't get to travel much as a family, as there always seems to be some project due. We have a house on the Colorado River, and enjoy watersports and offroading there.
