James's Story
Where do I begin???? I'll just recap and hit the highlights. I left Sulphur Springs in the 60's and have resided in the Dallas metroplex area for my lifetime this far.
I have been in the vending business (arcade games) for over 30 years and just sold it this year. We sold our retail store that was located on I30 Rockwall, Games Etc Too a little over two years ago. We have resided in Rockwall for the past 17 years.
My wife Kay and I have been married for 42 years, together we have shared 5 children, my two, her two and our one. This has given us a nice family with grandchildren and now two great grandsons Andy Ryan 2 1/2 and my namesake, Logan James, who is 4 1/2 months old. We lost one daughter, Andrea to breast cancer 3 years ago at 42. The hardest thing we have ever had to face. Both our moms passed away, they were buddies and enjoyed each others company for the 30+ years that had with us.
We are gamblers, our game of choice is, video poker. We should hold the title, "Royal Flush King n Queen." Amazingly, we hit them quite often, and have talked to numerous people who have never gotten or even seen one. The odds of getting them as we do is right next to unbelievable!
In April we took our first cruise out of Miami to the Bahamas. It was memorable to say the least. I especially enjoyed our balcony room where I spent many hours any time of the day or night. That was ...Expand for more
an upgrade I'd recommend for everyone and if we go again, we will surely do.
About 12 years ago we decided to have a motorcoach, although we were still in business, traveling annually to Vegas and Chicago for convention. We became spoiled driving this home all over the country, and the fact that we could pull into a parking lot, drop the shades and have dinner, go to sleep and wake up and ready to go in the am. I love driving and seeing the country in panaramic view. Some of my favorites sites was the Big Sur, on the Cali coast, and even Niagara Falls, "US and Canada falls." One year for our 40th anniversary we spent 30 days traveling the entire coast line of Mississippi all the way north to Destin Fla. I love it! My wife says, it along with playing poker is my passion.
In our travels we take most ususally, our three dog children, Puddin Tain, Gizmo Fudge and Cookie Le Creme. A new addition to our pet family is our beautiful and entertaining cat, Boots. She is as spoiled as our small dogs. My wife was asked by a friend one time, "If I die can I come back as one of your dogs?" We have done a good job spoiling them.
My wife is my best friend. I am going to borrow our daughter and son in law's little saying for this final line..."She is my honeysuckle and I am her honey bee."
Life is good and yes, life is most definitely what you make it. I guess that's about it~
