James's Story

Life After high school I majored in Music Education (cello). Spent 4 semesters at Jacksonville University and 2 at Wichita State University. After I got married I slowly backed off from taking college classes as I was more successful in my job becoming less interested in taking classes since I wasn't enjoying them. However, after many years away from college I finally went back and completed an AA and an AS (in web design) degree at FCCJ. Curently (2006-until now) I am working on a BFA in painting and drawing at UNF in Jacksonville. Over these many many years I've been in all kinds of bands in Jacksonville since 1985, punk to pop, playing mostly guitar. But I have played bass and cello too. d use in my recordings. I have a bunch of instruments. I married Barbara Hornsby in 1985 and we were together until 2005. We had no children. But I remarried a year later (2006) to Cathy Matthews (who was also in orchestra at Wolfson) and we now have a beautiful baby girl, Elizabeth Joy. I've been working as computer "graphics specialist" for Logistic Services International (now just called LSI) out on the old Cecil Field naval base in Jacksonville since 1991. I'm also freelancing doing graphic design, video/photography, web site design/development, and sometimes music production/composition. I was teaching guitar for a couple years too. I had a cello student for a little while too. …some more facts... I finally cut my hair short, I have both ears pierced twice, and I have no tattoos. LOL Feel free to send me love/hate mail.
