James's Story
Well, we graduated in 1987, and I went to work for Giant Eagle in Weston. About two years later I went to work for C.J. Products in Weston, then worked for Alkahn Lables until 2001 when I went to work for Sharpe hospital in Weston. During that time I got married in 1997, we had three great kids (Sabrina, Brandon and Cortney, then I went through a divorce in 2004. In 2006 I earned my pastor's license from the WV United Methodist Conference and in 2007 I left Sharpe Hospital to become the pastor of the Burnsville United Methodist charge where I serve five churches. In 2007 I also enroled in West Virginia Wesleyan College as a non-traditonal college student and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2011 (not bad for a guy who got C's and D's throughout Junior High and High School). Currently I am getting ready to start my third semester (the 2012 Fall semester) at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH with the intention of earning my Master of Divinity degree in 2014...Expand for more

So there you have it. I am a part time pastor (if there really is such a thing), a full time college/seminary student, and a full time dad with three amazing/challenging kids (they are 14, 11, and 10 and they stay with me five days a week during the school year as they attend Braxton County schools. Makes for some INTERESTING weekdays especially since I am a single dad and I have meetings, revivals, other church work, and my own homework to do). None of the challenges I have faced, none of what I have been accomplish and none of the blessings I have received could have been possible without the grace and enabling of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To God belongs all the glory.

P.S. Oh btw, this preacher rides a Harley-Davidson so I hope and pray I can ride it to the next class of '87 reunion. Yes yes, quiet Jim will be riding his LOUD Harley (I refuse to grow up completely lol).
