Jim here, Well, I kind of had this thing with being a drummer and musician while in HS and College. In fact, I went on to get a BS in Music from IUP. After that I went to grad school at Notre Dame University in Indiana as a graduate assistant band director. I earned my Masters from there in Music and became a High School Band Director. Then I had a lucky opportunity to go to work in the business world as a product manager and eventually Marketing Director in The Music Instrument Indusry. I've been doing that ever since 1978 now, I worked as Marketing Director for the famed Ludwig Drum Company from 1983, retiring in 2019. For the past 5 years, I have been an Adjunct Music Instructor at The University of Notre Dame and saint Mary’s College. It has been a great job in retirement. While working in the music industry, I also managed to keep up my music skills and have performed as a drummer and vibes player professionally.
