James's Story
Life
It's hard to believe that it has been 41 yrs since I graduated from "D" as I worked the 23rd graduation at Crane today. Thirty Five years of service with the Board and a few more to go until my wife reaches her 20th. My daughter and son both have received their bachelors and are gainfully employed. Jenni will now be married 3 years and and Jim has been working for Georgia Tech Research for over a year! Both have bought houses in Alabama and that looks like the place for retirement. It also hard to believe that I will be married for 33 years! It's been fun most of the time, and I have reached alot of the goals I have set. Teaching in High School all these years, Coaching a championship football team at Soldier Field, Working the State finals in Wrestling, Umpiri...Expand for more

Update 2014(8 years update): Going on two years of retirement after 41+ years with Chicago Public Schools(32 yrs Crane and 9 yrs Harrison). i have also left the active world of officiating but I am still involved in some administrative things due to some minor health problems and surgeries. My grandson(my daughter's boy) is now 3.5 years old and Grandpa loves to visit with him in Alabama. Since the last writing both my parents and my wife's parents have gone to their eternal rest. We are trying to put some things together and finally get out of this cold weather and enjoy the heat down in 'Bama with our kids and grandson. Hopefully by the next update I will be writing with a southern accent!
