James Chen:  

School I started elementary school at John R. Williams in Stockton, California and tranferred to Elkhorn Elementary for 3rd grade. For 7th and 8th grade, I attended Lodi Senior Elementary. I was elected VP of the school when I was a 7th Grader. I'll never forget Allen Schmeer's funny candidate speeches. I still have the metal plate I made in metal shop and won a baking contest with my lemon meringue pie. I attended Tokay High School in Lodi, California and graduated in 1978. I was the Vice President of the Senior Class with Janelle Peterson as the President and Susan Ghan as the Secretary. I played guitar in a band with Jeff Jenner and also ran a mobile disco company with Drew Kutlik. Louis Orimo was my best friend since grade school and he still is today. College After graduating from Tokay High School, I went to UC San Diego in beautiful La Jolla, California. I attended what was called Fourth College which was renamed Warren College. I played a lot of guitar in San Diego and went to the beach a LOT. While it was lots of fun, it just wasn't right for me, so I transferred to UC Berkeley. At UC Berkeley, I studied Business Administration as an undergraduate in Barrows Hall. Soon I got a job working for Technical Operations that was a part of the Associated Students of the University of California (known as ASUC).
