James's Story
After graduating from Laura F. Osborn High in 1968, I went to R.E.T.S Electronic School and graduated at the end of 1970.
I was married in 1972, have 2 grown boys and 4 grandchildren.
I moved from Detroit in 1976 to Sterling Heights, where I still live.
My work history is somewhat extensive and varied.
I worked at Burroughs Corporation (Unisys Corp. now) for over 10 years as a Large System Computer Tech.
From there, I worked at Digital Equipment Corporation as a Senior Service Tech.
After a year and a half, I hired on at Rockwell International and was transferred to Allen Bradley Company after 3 years. At Rockwell and A...Expand for more
llen Bradley, I provided training, installed and maintained computerized fastening equipment throughout the United States and part of Canada.
Additionally, at Allen Bradley, I also worked on industrial computers, various industrial equipment, robots, barcode, and program logic controllers.
After 9 years, the division I worked in was sold off to another company, (Hickok Equipment Company) where I worked as a Technical Specialist.
After several years, I worked at a Kodak subsidiary named Qualex Corp. Kodak, after 7 years, dissolved Qualex Corp and Kodak went bankrupt.
From there I got a local job and retired in 2015.
