Jim's Story
I know many of you will know me by my middle name, Danny, but starting in high school I started using my first name, so Danny Stepp and Jim Stepp are the same person.
I now live in Presque Isle Maine and work at the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI). I am the Dean of Students here. I love it in Maine, but do miss Pittsburgh. I joke with the people up here about the fact that Pittsburgh had the same population in the 1970s and the entire state of Maine does now. I have three children, Jessica (22) who is a Senior at UMPI and was married in 2013. Jessica was the student senate president 2011/2012. Jimmy (20) is a second year student in the Business Program. y building a 65 foot foot bridge for the local science center. My youngest, Chris (17), is a Senior in high school and is a total Geek. He wants to write computer game programs. He plans on attending Neumont University in Salt Lake City after he returns from a two year mission for our church. My wife, Becky, and I have now been married for 23 years and we are looking forward to our 25th anniversary and going on a cruise together.
I am still the eternal geek, but I am now better at hiding it. I work with a local astronomy club, I am very active in my church, and I work with the local boy scouts and cub scouts. The cub scouts all know me as Jim the science guy.
