James's Story
Life
James still goes by "Jamie." He is a licensed attorney in Utah and has had more than 10 years experience in regulatory compliance management including 5 years of patient care and medical research in biohazardous environments while a medical corpsman in the US Army stationed at Fort Detrick in Maryland; 3 years experience in supervising the manufacture of cell lines, cell media, cell banking, and other medical products while working as operations assistant at BioReliance (formerly MIA) in Rockville Maryland; and 3 years management at National Institutes of Health as a contract supervisor.
As a part-time Research Assistant and Systems Consultant at Brigham Young University Law School, James further developed his expertise with the operation, repair, and maintenance of many different types of computer networking systems and software. esearch protocol approvals. He has held supervisory positions at the FDA TwinBrook Facility in Rockville, Maryland and at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
Completing his education was a dream-come-true for James. Born and raised in Northern Wisconsin, he learned mechanics working in his fatherÂs auto garage from age 9 to 18. After that, he had worked in construction and other odd jobs until joining the Army in 1981. He became a single parent at a young age and didnÂt have the time or resources to complete his education in the early years. Once he had the opportunity to go back to school, he managed to not only take care of the children while his wife worked, but also completed the remodeling of his basement, including the permits, floor plans, framing, wiring, plumbing, heating, drywall, trim, baseboard and everything else that needed to be done.
James is very active in his Church and works regulary in Scouting with the Boy Scouts of America.
