James's Story
Wow;
Looking back it's difficult to decide where to start and who knows where it's going to end.
It's been a fun and exciting trip with never a dull moment. Started in SF, lived there until I was 12. Had a memeorable childhood, youngest of 5, stable, caring, hard working, proud family. There were always friends to play with in the city, I look back and can't believe all the places as little kid we rode our bikes or took the bus to without fear. Today it would seem irresponsible and foolish, then it was no big deal.
As I said we moved away from the city, I left behind those childhood friends we all had and will always remember. I've had basically no contact with them. I always...Expand for more
wonder what happended to them, did they survive the 60's, Vietnam, who did what, what paths did their lives take, what careers did they pursue?
Then there was Junior High and High School. Moraga/Orinda. Probably the most difficult time in any persons life. Junior High where you seem to lose your identidy, where every one tries to fit in, talk alike, act alike, dress alike, listen to the same music. Very stressful for a new kid who doesn't know anybody. Very superficial, was then and still is today, I've seen my kids go through it, it hasn't really changed. It seems that in your 40's is when you start searching the individual you were
before Junior High.
