James's Story
Life
I am a computer boy. I program computers professionally. My hobby is building working virtual models of old computers.

You can buy some of my work. Go to Toys 'R' Us, and purchase a copy of Shrek Fairy Tale Freakdown or Walt Disney World Quest (R) Magical Racing Tour (TM) for the Nintendo Game Boy Color.

I remember Franklin High School. I had a lot of fun there. Special hellos to almost everyone who was in band; special (respectful) greetings to some of the teachers who put up with us rowdy students:
</p>
Mr. Checchi
<br>
Miss L. Tigner, Librarian
<br>
Mr. Richard Quan (did I spell it right?)
<br>
Mr. Trivers (who can now search for his surname on the Internet)
<br>
Mrs. S. Leahy
<br>
Coach Avallone (I bet I misspelled that one too)
<br>
Mr. Lingren
<br>
...and about thirty others.

A very special greeting to Debbie Harris and Laura Hunt. Because of our last names, I sat between the two of you for just about thirteen years. May you have all the happiness you could possibly wish for and then some.

Let's see, my favorite color is red, my favorite food is macaroni & cheese with garlic on it, my favorite music is by Mozart, I wear Reebok size 11W. All references to "Wizard Kl...Expand for more
udgefinder" on the internet refer to me. On Altavista, looking up "I have an enormous virtual" gives only one result, and that is my page.

I play Ultima Online on the Baja shard, and hang out at the Golden Brew tavern.
College
Why? You know what Caltech undergraduate life is like, don't you?
Okay. First, you have a lot of classes. You have a lot of homework. On Friday evenings, you walk to the comic book store, and buy eight new comic books. You do your homework. You finish up the chem lab stuff for which the reactions take longer than a class period (one of them took a weekend). You hide a dead shark in the freezer, just for fun. You do your homework. You ride your bicycle for three hours a week, because that's your "Independent Physical Education" requirement. You listen to the crystal radio, for which you wound the coil yourself. You go to the computer lab late at night and program a database to keep track of your ever-increasing comic book collection. You type up your homework, using an old portable manual typewriter. You take two take-home quizzes. Finals week is coming up. Two of your term papers are about one-third finished, one is "well begun" and you haven't picked a topic for the fourth.
