James's Story
Hey everyone, hope you're all doing ok. I certainly hope you all remember me as the fun loving tall dude with really long hair that loved nothing more than playing music and entertaining.....none of that has changed at all.
I always wanted to be a Rock Star when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a impossible idea. As it turns out, they were not really 100%correct. While I never did make the millions and have walls lined with platinum records (records, remember those?) I've been a fairly steadily working musician since playing in Escape with Eric Peterson and Jeff Hochschild. MANY bands later I've played all over the East Coast and even as far as Arlington TX being the first band to ever play at Ride For Dime which is a benefit ride and concert in memory of former Pantera Guitarist Dimebag Darrell Abbott, Nathan Bray, Jeff Thompson and Erin Halk who were all senselessly murderred by an insane gunman while Darrell was onstage with his new band Damageplan at Alarosa Villa in Columbus OH. While down in TX, we became close with those running the event (Darrell's friends and Family) and long story short, we were given permission and is...Expand for more
sued the first and only official chapter of Ride for Dime in Philadelphia PA.
I do still have a "normal" (sortof...lol) life too. I've been working for the govt in computers/networking since 1998. Moved to Pennsylvania in 2003 and in April 2008 married my incredible wife Debbie. With Debbie came my 2 stepsons Kyle-18 and Zach-14 who are pretty cool, but don't always realize that being 14 and 18 there's nothing they're gonna try and pull off that I haven't done or seen before. LOL They hate that, but I try not to be too much of a hardass with them unless they do something REALLY dumb. I also have 2 incredible dogs, Diamond who is a female Blue Doberman and Natalia, an overweight Italian Greyhound.
I am still a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan and have been to games at Texas Stadium and look forward to getting down to the new staduim soon.
I also still have my 1979 Trans Am, and no.....I'm still not done with it.
Lastly, I signed up for the free gold week on here and didn't get any responses to my messages now it's expired. I will check in here from time to time, but if you wanna get me try MySpace. Search for shibbyjim and you should find me.
