James's Story
Life
After graduation from Western, I was a band teacher at Daniel Wright Middle School in Lincolnshire, Illinois. I taught there 8 years. In 1985 I received my Master of Music degree from Northwestern U. In my last year at Daniel Wright I started law school at night. I then left teaching and attended law school full time and worked part time. I got married to Laurel before my last year and we lived in Mundelein, Illinois. I graduated from law school in 1990 and have been a lawyer in Wauconda, Illinois since then. to swear me in as a lawyer. My dad has since passed away, but my mom is still living in Glenview. My practice includes real estate law, landlord tenant cases, construction law, estate planning and zoning. My wife is a talented musician, music teacher and gardener. In 1999 we moved to Hawthorn Woods and have been there ever since. We have no children and we love to sit in our gazebo at night during the summers. We have a pet cat named Snickers who also loves to be in the gazebo with us. We love to travel to Hawaii and to DisneyWorld and I make the best Mai Tais.
