James's Story
Howdy,
I left Bayonne in July 1971 . . . joined the Air Force and spent the next four years in exotic assignments in Biloxi, Mississippi, Del Rio, Texas, and finally the icing on the cake . . . Greenland. Out of the service, I went to college on the G.I. Bill . . . got a degree in Accounting from Montclair State, got married, started working in public and then corporate accounting, mainly with Bristol-Myers Squibb, moved out to Central Jersey around Clinton, completed an MBA at New York University, had two sons, did all the usual things, and then made a change. hD in International Business, and then moved up to Saratoga Springs, NY and Skidmore College in 1996. Been there 14 years now, a Professor of International Business, and my wife Linda and I bought and restored an old dairy farm in Eastern New York state on the Vermont border. A long way from Bayonne's East 45th street . . . in so many ways. I've written a couple of books, and more on the way I hope . . . mainly dealing with Ireland . . . which, aside from family, is one of the great loves of my life. Go figure. Anyhow, there's the very broadest outline of my life in a few lines.
