Life
Worked at JCPenney until 2/56, went to
ND and enl in USN. Bootcamp GLakes Il 3/56 - 5/56; NAVTRACEN SDiego Ca 5/56 -
8/56; CT School Imperial Beach, Ca 8/56 - 12/56; then follow military
bio. Married Margaret (nee McEvoy) in
London 1965; sons John ('66) and James
('67) born. Dau Michele ('76) born while in Jacksonville. Retired from USN at KWest '86 and moved to present
area. We own 5 acres, have 5 horses, 2
goats (1 dwarf/1 midget), 4 dogs, 2 cats, 2 birds, and a squirrel all of them pets. Would like to hear from
others in our class. There are several spaces in the 'My Communities' listing
where dateshave the query 'Where were you?' (example: 42-43/43-4...Expand for more
4/45-46;
49-50/55-56/58-59 and 64-65). The answer to all those breaks (or 'Where
were you?') is: under normal circumstances while I was growing up, my father
tried to get his transfers between job sites over the Christmas/New Years
holiday period so my brother and I lost as little school time as possible; thus,
we generally departed one localtion just before Christmas and arrived at the
new location just after New Years so that we could start school on time. After
I joined the military, my transfer dates between duty stations followed a very
similar pattern -- which was nice; I could spend the holidays with family and
friends before reporting to my new duty station.
