James's Story

I retired from the Navy after 20 years in 2005. In November of the same year I started working for the Navy AGAIN as a GS aka bureaucrat. You'd think I would have learned. Unfortunately my weight has escalated and my diet gone to crap and Mar 13 2008 I paid the price with a Myocard...Expand for more
ial Infarction or heart attack. I was airlifted to Desert Regional Hospital in Palm Springs where I received two Stents (I think I'm spelling it correctly) to open my arteries. Now I'm home and having to change my diet from Pizza Hut and McDonalds to low fat suffering. Fun stuff.

I'm not sure I picked exactly the right place to move to. This is an old (abandoned ) miner's shack near the Strawberry Onyx mine near Ludlow/ Kelso Dunes in California. The road is 2.5 miles of hiking IF I had found it.
