James Koester, P.E., is a registered professional engineer and Principal of EA Associates. Over the last eleven years, Jim has assisted insurance claims managers, independent adjusters, and attorneys providing over a thousand investigations of property damage to
determine scope of damage, cause of damage, method of repair, and estimated cost of repair.
Jim is a Civil Engineer with a strong background in structures and construction. Investigation of
property damage includes commercial, industrial, high-rise, construction projects, and residential. Jim handled over 300 investigations associated with the Hurricanes in 2005 (Wilma,
Katrina, and Rita) and dozens of projects associated with World Trade Center attacks.

jects included a prison, a juvenile correction facility, office buildings, and a regulatory compliance program for 1400 Underground Storage Tanks owned by the 26 state agencies, as well as compliance for state owned PCB
transformers. From 1980 to 1990 he worked in construction management progressing through a variety of positions with increasing responsibilities. At Turner Construction he was assistant
superintendent and project engineer for commercial, retail, and high-rise construction projects.
As a Senior Cost Engineer he provided in depth financial analysis of projects to forecast volume, cash flow, and earnings, including risk analysis, claims analysis, subcontractor productivity analysis, scheduling and schedule analysis, and department and regional resource allocation.
Jim is a Lehigh University graduate with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering. He is a member of ASCE, past chairman of the Barnes Aquifer Protection Committee, has enjoyed coaching youth soccer, and has been an active Church leader.
