What happened to the school after I left for Horseheads, NY in 1963 ? I got to Horseheads, NY and applied to attend Corning Community College - was told I needed to take remedial math classes since I had not passed the NY Regent's Exam in High School. Got an AAS at CCC and a student loan from NY State - to come back to OK and attend OU. Worked Summer at Leavell Co. in Muskogee. I Joined Peace Corps, got assignment to teach in Peru - which was cancelled when Peru cancelled the program. Took Navy Nuclear Exam and was not selected for submarine work. Got BS/Physics at OU in '68, Failed Engineering/Physics Masters program at OU (Failed FORTRAN Computer Programming, Vector and Tensor Matrices, Organic Chemistry). Joined Teacher Corps for 2 year...Expand for more
s. Got drafted again and failed my physical (4F- flat feet). Went off to Roseto, PA for a summer survey project with OU Medical Center, Human Ecology Dept. Was kicked out of the OU medical school after one week of classes for a bad grade point average. Got hired as summer Engineering intern at GEEIA, Tinker AFB. Worked as Communications Engineer at Tinker for 42 years. Many interesting projects - worked for NASA and US Navy at Cape Canaveral and US Army in Panama (Just Cause War). Spent several months in Japan. Met my first mate at OU, married her and fathered seven children - ten grandkids. Now widowed and retired, living in the woods near Choctaw, OK. What happened to everyone in Muskogee after I graduated and left for New York State?.
