James's Story
After high school, I worked as a heavy-duty truck technician, working my way up to Service manager position at that same dealership where I started, then changed jobs to an upstart International Truck dealership. Building this dealers service department from one technician (me) to about 12 service personnel I decided to move to Cape Coral Florida where I live now. During this time span I was married for almost 20 years and have a wonderful son , now twenty-one. He is a very accomplished singer song- writer in the middle of recording his first album. him as well as on the phone with him several times a day. As a hobby I spent sixteen years racing Go Karts with my brother Bill. Through the sixteen years we were lucky enough to win two class championships, finish in the top three eight years in a row and make so many wonderful friends I could never list them all. I was also lucky enough to have a good friend Gary Thayer, who owns, builds and drives a URC Sprint car. I spent many years with him as crew chief at the track with him and of course my brother Bill was always there working with us.
