Life After resigning from the Army in 1994 I was hired by the Cochise County Sheriffs as an emergency 911 operator. I Stayed with the county for 7 years and left having the position of Senior Dispatcher. I was hired in 2001 by The U.S. Customs service and attended training at Glenco, Georgia. I have been with Customs since then all though now we are known as Bureau of Customs and Border Protection. I still work with the Customs side of the house at the Douglas, Arizona port of entry. No i do not work for Border Patrol, they are the unlucky ones who have to race around the desert attempting to catch the large groups of illegals attempting to cross. Our primary mission is terrorist interdiction at the port of entry, but in the interim we catch a large amount of narcotics that people try to smuggle through the port. We also apprehend a large amount of subjects attempting illegal entry into the United States.
