James's Story
Life
I live in Dover, DE. Just bought a new Mobile home 28 X 60 in 2000. I really love it here. Where I live is so peaceful and quite. I am retiring 1 March,2007 but will work part time maybe 3 days a week!!!!. Still not married.
I still love the lord but I'm not perfect. I miss all the people in Wilmington but I don't like the ways of some of them. I did go to Delaware Technical Community College a few years back but did not graduate. Just bought a new barbecue grill and plan to do some serious cooking this summer of 2007 and 2008.
I had a puppy but had to give him to the SPCA because he got to big for me to handle. I named him Oreo because he was black & white. I have not heard from my daughter Latasha, I guess she is still mad at me. I did the best I could do by her. Well life goes on.
I remember how I wanted to go into the military when I grew up. And I did but, as it turned out I did not retire from the Army this I regret. I like to relax by taking a hot shower and watch TV while reading the news paper with soft music playing in the background. The wildest thing I ever did in school was getting into a fight with Space Head (Mr. Coleman).
My hero was General George Patton and that's how I was inspired to go into the military. Most of my time spent in the military was in Wurzburg, Germany, I was for three years also I was in Vietnam one year in 1968-1969. The one person from my past who I'd like to see again is Sandra Nelson. I really like football or like watching it on TV also gulf I guess that's because of Tiger Woods. My biggest surprise in life is that I'm still here after all I've been through. I guess I'll have to thank God for th...Expand for more
at.
I would like to be remembered by my ole friends as a kind and caring person who tried to do the best I could with what I had to work with. As a parent I'd like to share what I've learned from my two daughters and that is not only tell them how much you care about them but show them how much you care about them each and every day.
I certainly would love to see My 8Th grade home room teacher Mrs Parker but that will never happen because she has passed away. If I won $100 million, I'd give a lot of it to my family and then to friends and spend the rest of it on me and helping others in need. My first crush was older than me, she had a baby and later got married. The weirdest job I ever had was laying brick for a house foundation. I live alone and kinda like it. I've been married but divorced since 1972 I probably would like to get married again to that right someone.
I'm proud of the the Bronze Star Medal I received when I was in the Army for meritorious service against a hostile force in Vietnam June 1968 to June 1969. If I could get one do-over, I would finish collage and I would stay on the straight and narrow path.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a deck. My dream home would be the one I'm in now. I'm OK, bye I love you all, James Jack McCants
UPDATE: 7/12/2009, Oh I forgot to mention Miss Doris Peters, a childhood friend I grew up with. I recently contacted her in 2007 around Christmas Thur a classmate search of my ole high school, Howard High in Wilmington, Delaware at 13TH and Poplar ST. I'm am surely grateful to her that we were able to rekindle our relationship. And I look forward to seeing her again.
