James's Story
Ive been married for 50 years to my high school love, I liked her then because she was cute and funny and I felt good with her, but after 50 years Iam still finding out how beautiful she really is.
Did the Nam thing, went to work for the SP railroad did 17 years with them and left to open my own business I built street rods and restored muscle cars was a custom painter, did that for 20 years then went back to work for BNSF railroad to finish my pension. I retired in Nov 2007 and moved from Concord Ca to Magalia Ca just past Paradise about 13 miles from Chico.
There are actually quit a few oilers and others from the Bay Area up here or near by.
I've had a 142 cars but am down to a 64 falcon ranchero and my motorcycle for toys. I still have my tenor and alto sax'es and have restored all of my old stereo equip, I still must have ...Expand for more
a 1000 45's and hundred's of LP's so it has been fun digging out and cleaning my records and listening to them.
When I can score some extra ammo I spend as much time as I can shooting at the range in Chico. Other than that I enjoy 10 dollar cigars and 300.00 dollar scotch.
As far as country's visited its Germany, France, England, Ireland, oh I can't leave out Guam, Thailand, and good old Viet Nam.
My wife retire's in a year so I hope to see a bit more of the good ole USA after that.
Well the wife and I are married for 50 yrs Mar of 19 we had a great party with many friends. It was tempered by the fact we lost everything we owned in the camp fire on Nov 8th of 19. After much thought and many impediments put in our way we have moved to Payette Idaho. It is a great place and we love it here, hopefully this is the last move we make.
