James's Story
I am currently living and teaching in Daegu, South Korea where I recently celebrated my 20th year anniversary with my fantastic wife Susanne Pearson. I teach high school chemistry and physics on a US Army base here in Korea. After McArthur, I attended BCC to earn my AA with a focus in theater. I enlisted in the Air Force in 1990, was stationed in Germany and served during the first Gulf War. I met my wife, Susanne, in Germany and was married in 1993. Survived testicular cancer in 1994, then left the Air Force in 1995. I returned to college to earn an MFA in film at FSU. We moved to LA where I worked as a sound editor in film and television. rson). I earned an Emmy nomination, then become a voting member of the Academy. I started teaching at the middle school level in Pasadena California in 2002. We then moved to Bellingham Wa. where I earned a BA in Chemistry and a Masters degree in Teaching. We relocated to Vernon Ct where I began teaching chemistry and physics at the high school level. We were then hired by DoDDS and we moved to Daegu South Korea to teach children of the US Army soldiers stationed here in Korea. Other than playing disc golf, my biggest love is traveling.
