James's Story

I remember walking to school along Wasaga Beach alone, when all the touristas returned mainly to America. Many times I would be late for class due to the natural beauty of Georgian Bay. . great teacher. I regret, as do many others, when they forced us to go to Baywood. I learned later in life that my father cleared the bush at Byrnes, so us kids could have a playground. Finally, how cool it was to have the Lorna Dune Ice Cream Parlor just a short distance from school.
