James's Story
Life
After graduation from GBHS, I spent 6 years in the Air Force, in the telecom field. My first assignment was at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, during which I had the privilege of spending six of the most adventurous months of my life in Egypt. Upon my return back to the US, I was transferred to Buckley ANGB in Aurora, CO, and honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1990 and decided to remain in the Denver area.
In 1991, I went back to school, and graduated magna cum laude in 1996, majoring in Spanish and minoring in Bilingual/Bicultural Ed., with an emphasis in Elementary Ed. I was employed at Riverview Christian Academy for two years, where I taught S...Expand for more

For five years, I worked in in the up and down telecom industry; but after surviving 15 layoffs, a Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and the sale of the company, I decided to go with my heart and do want I really wanted to do: I volunteered to be laid off, took the severance and moved to Tulsa, OK to pursue a Master of Divinity at Oral Roberts University.
I enjoy writing, mostly poetry, which tends to come in spurts. I also support an orphanage in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. For the past 15 years, I have gone down annually or semi-annually, transportating food, clothing, and other items which my friends, family, and church have donated.
