James's Story
After graduation I went to Brigham Young University in Utah, graduating in International Business. I took two years off from school to spend in Russia as a missionary. Besides Russian I studied Spanish, French and Arabic at college. My parents moved from Oregon to Spokane, Wa. when I was 19. I met my wife Kayla in Spokane. We have four children: two boys and two girls.

We've lived in Topeka, Kansas; Bonners Ferry, Idaho; Issaquah, Washington; and since 2012 in County Wicklow, Ireland.
Since high school I've come to really enjoy the outdoors: gardening, hiking, kayaking, and biking. I still sing in choirs and have also performed in a few musicals.
When I look back on high school I have to smile. Thankfully I've loosened up a lot since then! My favorite memories are from cross country and debate, and from making friends and enjoying the last year of high school together in 1996.
