James's Story
I've had quite a varried life. After HS I worked from the day after graduation til Sept. I then joined the Navy in Oct. in Oct 72 I got married. After 4 1/2 years I left the Navy and returned home in 76. while in school, my wife and I had our second son. upon graduation in 78 from VWCC with a Mechanical Engineering Associates degree. From there I was recruited by the Tennesee Valley Authority for their Nuclear design projects. I spent 6 years in Knoxville TN working on the piping analsis design for Sequoia Nuclear plant. In July 84 we welcomed a daughter into our family. One week after her birth, I was transfered to Sequoia Nuc Plant neer Chattanooga TN. I spent the next 4 years on sight at Sequoia. rector and service manager at Today's Computers. I then became Maintenance Supervisorfor Chesapeake Packaging in Roanoke. Two years later, I became Plant Engineer. Our plant was sold first to St Laurant Packaging and later to Smurfit Stone Container. In 2000 I started getting headaches that steadily became more frequient and severe. I was forced to retire on disability in 2004 and have fought migraine and daily headaches since. Today I am still married to the same woman, have 3 children and 5 grand children aaaaaaaaaa92 boys and 3 girls).
