James's Story
I quit High School in ninth grade and spent most of my time in jail until my seventh birthday. I was escorted to Oakland airport heading for San Diego Marine Boot Camp. I graduated in June 1980- Feb 1992. I traveled the world by plane and ship I truly loved being in the Corps, I was apart of the security force for the 1987 earth quake, The eruption of mount penultima in the Philippines in 1991. I learned to speck enough of the languages To get a drivers license allowing me to travel through out the different countries. Upon being discharged from the Corp for medical resins. at Navel Air station Alameda CA. They really did not like the way I carried my self, I was a loaner and would sing my military songs as I worked. I was let go and had some military fiends who had similar issues so we all decided to become truck drivers covering all 48 states. then in 2014 I was coming Home from work had a car run a stop sign and I t boned it the driver was killed. Now since I left the service I was self medicating to control night mares and my PTSD and TBI. I finally went to VA and opened a claim for medical help. Finally in 2020 the VA awarded me fully disabled, SDI and SSDI. Now I only work around house.
