James's Story
*Graduated from Seneca in '70.
*Wasted the next 2 yrs at Edinboro.
*Hitched a ride to Houston, TX.
*6 months later walked into the Marine recruiter's office (16 July '73). Liked it so much I stuck around for 28 yrs. 14 of which were overseas.
*Retired in 2001 from Okinawa and moved to Las Vegas NV.
* Miss the hell out of active duty. Civilian life is too mundane.
*Lived in Sin City for 6 yrs.
*Got a job as a Gov't contractor in VA in 2007 thanks to a fellow Marine (Bill Ellis).
* I don't really give a sh_t how I'm remembered. Can't do much about it.
*I've got plenty of heroes. Chesty Puller, John Basilone, ...Expand for more
John Wayne, Pope John-Paul II, and a young man I met in Vegas in my Communications course who quit school in 9th grade to help his Mom raise his brother who had Downs Syndrome and was finally (after 10 yrs) going back to school to name a few.
* Got 4 kids: Corey, Brian, Deirdre, and Sean. Love 'em to death!
* My biggest worry is how my kids will get along in this world if Americans don't stop the Dems from moving away from our Constitution (that I swore to protect and defend) and toward socialism. What are the chances to fill a room with genius the likes of Jefferson, Franklin, Adams, etc. again? Pretty slim.
