from October 1969 to October 1989. During that time I served overseas in Viet Nam, Thailand, and Germany. I served in the US at Fort Jackson, SC; Fort Holabird, MD; Fort Campbell, KY; and Fort Bragg, NC. Civil Service I have just completed twenty-four years of work for the US Government in a variety of positions. My current position is in the National Transportation Safety Board.

So last week in the hospital with Fran, I rode the elevator a couple of times. I noticed the button that indicates the floors had been worn down by pushing. Trouble is, it is not the button that activates the elevator.

Thinking about Memorial Day 1971 when I was in Phu Bai Vietnam. So many of my comrades in the 101st Airborne Division did not live to celebrate and enjoy future holidays. I honor the memory of my fallen brothers.
