Idk how current this site is- DePaola's looks like it's from maybe 2005 (I graduated from UM that year).
Signed up for this to check out Gables, actually- knew a bunch of people from Sunset Elementary/Carver who'd gone there (one of my buds turned out to be a h.s. principal near me in Fairfax County VA, and I guess running across that in the WaPo inspired it).
It was strange, at best, to see my pic... Better, I would think, than some of what's maybe gotten around because, well, people ...Expand for more
talk. But I'm working on some writing and doing well (the plan is to use a family name, Chase, if I get published. That would, by the way, be 4 writers in our class- Nathalie, David Carrell, and Alisha... 2000-side!)
I was thinking about us, the Class of 2000, recently. Not that was I overly social, but the word 'family' came to mind, on some level- grad nite stuck out as an example... A culmination, anyway... maybe the air was thick with a certain melancholy.
