James's Story
My first chosen career, which consisted of yodeling and modeling swimsuits, was not keeping me well fed. As a result, I went back to school. I taught math at various high schools and junior colleges and in 1994 I acquired my PhD just to show Mr. Leggitt (chemistry) that he was wrong about my capacity to sit down and behave.
I have been married to the same long suffering sweet person for 35 years. We have 3 children -- a son who is an electrical engineer in Austin, a daughter who is an environmental engineer for BP in London and another daughter who works at a ski lift in California and is trying to find herself while I finance the search.

tired two years ago and then was lured back into teaching for one year. I have again retired and truly belive that this time the retirement is permanent. I am ranked nationally as one of the worst golfers ever. However, I still cannot keep my head still when I swing and I cannot quit making absolutely ridiculous bets involving my ability to play the "game."
I write a weekly (weakly) trivia column that is published in four states in some weekly newspapers. Currently, we are somewhat poor, but I am involved in a brilliant scheme involving a Nigerian bank that could significantly change our financial situation as soon as I send some funds.
