Jan, my wife since 1969, and I live in Garland, Tx. I have worked at Texas Instruments (Dallas) as an electronic eng. aide for 34 years before a personnel reduction. TI offered me an early bridge to retirement... I took the lump sum and ran! I have now been with Raytheon in Dallas for 7 years. (I am working in the same building and with the same people I had spent over 20 years with as a TI'er but now as a Raytheon employee. TI sold the defense group to Raytheon a few years ago.)
We both enjoy RV'ing and our Siberian Huskies although fuel prices have greatly reduced our travels. I am also an amateur radio operator, KC5KM, and am generally act...Expand for more
ive on HF when parked in a campsite with the RV. My idea of roughing it is not having an adequate opening in the trees for satellite reception or a high speed WiFi connection for my computer. Things have really changed since we had a tent decades ago and camped using a motorcycle! I am now back into motorcycles and have an '06 BMW K1200LT touring bike. The bike is fast and very comfortable on the road and it is now the way we take vacation. Jan and I also enjoy activities with the local BMW bike club. I am NOT slowing down! I figure that I've got 10 more years of biking and I'm going to get my money's worth. Don't want to wind up in the 'home' saying "shoulda', coulda', woulda."
