James's Story

It's going on 20 years since I left NY. That seems like an eternity in some ways, and still feels like just yesterday in a some other ways. I attended college in west Texas, and got married to my wife Amy in August 2000 after we graduated. We then moved to Denver for two years. We then spent the next three years in Seattle, where I went to grad school. We got to live in Dublin, Ireland for a few months the summer of 2005, and then moved back to Dallas that September. I worked there as a pastor and therapist for about 7 years. We moved back to south Denver (Highlands Ranch) in October 2012, and love it!. This is hopefully our last major move. h, and will be planting a church sometime here in the next couple of years. Amy and I have three children, two daughters and a son, and we couldn't love them more. We both have good jobs and feel incredibly blessed. In our spare time, which is minimal with three kiddos running around, we ski during the winter, and hike, bike, and camp during the summer, spring, and fall. Colorado is an amazing place to live. Since we got married, we've gotten to do some traveling, but would love to do some more over time. In the meantime, I'll be smoking a brisket or some ribs on the BBQ, and have some cold ones in the fridge. If you find yourself in the area, don't hesitate to stop by and say hello.
