James (Jim) Winney:  

While I was born in St. Louis, MO. I really consider Lincoln as my home town. After graduating from University of Nebraska (Lincoln) in 1966 with a commission in the United States Air Force and was assigned to Lowry Air Force Base, near Denver, Colorado to attend the first of many intelligence schools in my career. After 40 years in military and civilian service to the country I retired and now live with my wife, Karen in Seward, Nebraska. I have two daughters from my first marriage and two adorable twin granddaughters that live in Placer county, California. That I try to see as much as possible (as of this writing they are 101/2). Karen and I love to travel the western part of the United States. I love the southwestern part of the country particularly southern Utah and northern Arizona. I love Arches, Canyon Land, Zion, Grand Canyon National Parks. The geology is interesting but the human chapters of those areas are even more interesting. We also drove to Vancouver, British Columbia. We travel by car as you cannot see anything from the air but clouds most of the time.
