James's Story
Workplace
While employed in the Court System for Pinellas County, Florida I was operations manager for Civil Courts, Crimnal Courts and Probate Courts. I also served as Manager of two different branch officer operations and supervised well over 75 subordinates, assistant managers and student programs.
I worked closely with the Circuit and County Court Judges and had the privelege of being involved with creating one of the first domestic violence assistance programs in Florida.
Life is great.
While employed with county government I also maintained a position of Law Enforcement (Patrol and Special Projects) with one of the local municiple police department.
My three careers spanded over 25 years....Life was busy but was also rewarding. I received a police officer of the year award in 1994; Humanitarian Award ...Expand for more
for work in the Domestic Violence program and finally Sailor of the Quarter 3 times; Sailor of the Year 1 time.
Life is great. But, I really miss my classmates at Peoria High School. What ever happened to Lucille Halderman??????
Military
I have enjoyed my 20 years of service in the Navy. Most of it was largely in the reserve. My rewarding years were my assignment to the pentagon working with the Surgeon General (Koop) and the director of Naval Reserve. As an enlisted Yeoman I had the pleasure of actually being the lead person in the command and establishing work priorities with suborinates as welll as my peers. I contribute my abilities to do the job with high school (Peoria), College ( St. Petersburg Fl Junior College) and to Florida State University. My graduate fields were Business and Criminal Justice.
