James's Story
Life
After High School, I went to Arkansas Tech, where I graduated with a BS Degree in 1974. I then entered the Army and went to Nurnberg, Germany. I left the Army after 3 years, and I went to work for the State Parks of Arkansas, where I was Park Supt. of Moro Bay State Park. Advancement potential was limited in State Parks, so I left to persue a job with the Boy Scouts in Houma, LA. at the Pentagon; Pryor, OK; Aberdeen, MD; Ft. Leavenworth, KS; Ft. Belvoir, VA; Nurnberg and later Heidelberg, Germany, and Warren, MI. I retired from the Army on 31 Jan 01. I am married to Patty, who is retired from the FBI in Little Rock. I worked for The McVey Company, Inc. in the Washington, DC, area, in the field of homeland defense and non-lethal weapons. Now, I'm a Senior Program Manager for a defense contracting company; though the company is headquartered in Huntsville, AL, I'm working out of my home in Jacksonville, AR.
