Jamie's Story
After Solon HS, I attended Bowling Green State University and roomed with Renee Palmer my freshman year. I worked at General Motors in Detroit for a year and a half. Then, my mother was killed in a motor vehicle accident in FL, so I moved to Sarasota to be with my father.
I worked at Tropicana Products for 4.5 years while attending graduate school. I met my husband in Tampa. He and I both volunteered at a community radio station down there (WMNF). We moved to NC in 19...Expand for more

I was the communications director for the Research Triangle Park for almost 9 years, then published a magazine about RTP for a year. Now, I'm working as the communications director for the National Institute of Statistical Sciences and the Statistical and Applied Mathematical Sciences Institute in RTP, NC. I also freelance write for some of the local magazines in town.
