Jamie's Story

Life Graduated High School - Enlisted in the Army - Went to college - Got married - Consulted - Became VP of Data Security for biggest bank in the world - Founded consulting business - Traveled to more foreign countries than I can easily count - Now doing contract work for the Department of Defense. College Attended school, and was hired as a faculty associate. Tutored many classes I was taking, along with teaching labs, grading papers, proctoring exams, etc. Worked as an armed security officer (Condo-Cop) with a K-9 for a while. THAT was a lot of fun - more fun than school, in fact. College bored me out of my mind. Workplace I couldn't find a job that held my interest, so after deciding that I was not going to work on Wall Street anymore (I was the Vice President of Data Security for Deutsche Bank AG), I started my own company, J.C. Pole and Associates, Inc. JCPandA is 100% owned by my wife, Andie, and currently bids work all over the world. In the last few years, I have worked in Great Britain, France, Spain, Germany, Greece, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Scotland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico, Belize, Japan, and quite a few others. Right now, I'm on contract t...Expand for more
o the Department of Defense. Military I worked with the Operations Sergeant in the Logistics Operations (LogOps) section of the 395th Supply and Service battalion, which is a component of the 76th Reserve Training Division of First United States Army Forces Command (FUSA FORSCOM). In addition to working with the Operations Sergeant, I also worked with the head of the section (S2/S3/Log), who was a Major. Both the Operations Sergeant, and the Major were excellent men who were very interested in my professional development. At times, I also worked with the commanding officer of the Headquarters Company (HHC) of the 395th, who was a Captain. Again, the Captain took a great interest in my military career, trying unsuccessfully to get me to "go career". I was practically promised a "slot" in officer training, had I decided to go this route. I loved every second of my military service - EVERY second of it! (Drill Sergeant Harris - if you ever read this, that DOES include BCT at Fort Knox...) I cannot recommend military service in strong-enough terms - the Army taught me to be a leader, and to finish everything I start. These are skills that cannot be learned anywhere else.
