Jan's Story

Life I have lived in Tyler, TX since graduating from SFASU in 1978. I worked for Brookshire Grocery Company for 41 years, retiring in 2021. I am married to Cal Barton, another member of our class. We have four kids--Cam, 42 Tom, 41, Kate, 39 and Cole, 38 The class of 74 had a great 45th Reunion and we are planning on an even greater 50th next year! Hope to see you all there! most like to see again is Brad Roberts, because he had a delightful sense of humor and my husband and I were both friends with him. His cousin and I were great friends also and she and I are still in touch. I would also love to see Beverly Whitehead Cox, one of the best friends I ever had. I hope some of our teachers will come to this reunion. I am on a mission to contact some of them who inspired so many of us.
