Jan's Story
Life
Jeff and I got married in 1992, moved to Wichita. I went to WSU and graduated in 1997. I started working for the Wichita Public School district immediately after graduation as a Kdg. teacher. We had our daughter Jordan in 1998. In 2000, I became a Pre-Kindergarten teacher. In 2001, Jeff and I had our son Nicholas. In 2002, I went back to WSU and graduated with my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction in 2004. I then started teaching in a full inclusion (special needs) Pre-Kindergarten c...Expand for more
lassroom. The biggest change in our lives is that Jeff deployed to Afghanistan in January, 2006, with the KS Army Nat. Guard, and he will be there until February, 2007.
Jeff made it home safe in 2007 and continued to be a contractor for McConnell AFB and I continue to teach here in Wichita, but am currently teaching Kindergarten. In January of 2008, Jeff accepted a Civil Service job as an architectuarl engineer at Ft. Riley. so we will be moving back to the manhattan/J.C. area the summer of 2008.
