Jan's Story
Life
I left Akron, Ohio in October, 1963 to seek my fame and fortune. Moved to New York City and studied drama. There I met my first husband. When he was accepted to Stanford University in 1968, we moved to northern California (and I've been here ever since). I've been employed primarily as an administrative assistant although I have had stints working in the gaming industry and as a sports collectible dealer. At the age of 40, I had my first and only child, Alison Wynne. She was, to quote Elton John, "born upon a Christmas morn" in 1984. alifornia's finest! She loves the Beach Boys, the Beatles, FDR, JFK and the New York Yankees. Sam and I got married Sunday, July 2, 2000. He is a English and he is a rocket scientist and came to the United States after graduating from Oxford about 30 years ago. He has two grown kids and a passion for camping. He drives a lovely 1970 red VW camper bus. I retired from my job as senior executive assistant to the President of a community college in Saratoga, California. I now sell antiques (mostly Blue Ridge Pottery which I also collect) on eBay. I'd love to hear from any of my classmates and friends from Ohio!
