Jan's Story
Hello my friends,
If you knew me in school you might remember that I got married the summer before our Senior year. I didn't marry anyone from school and that marriage only lasted 3 years but gave me 2 wonderful sons.
I think I'm the Queen of Bad Decisions and ended up married and divorced a total of 3 times. I think the last one took 'cause it was the last. I have had a lot of fun through the years and I must say that my favorite job was at Knott's Berry Farm working in Virginia's Gift Shop. It afforded my last ex and my wonderful sons hours of fun at the park. I was also able to enjoy it when I wasn't working.
My last husband moved us to Missouri, where he was from, and we learned a lot about living in the country. Farm animals and horses were great. I did draw the line at working with the pigs unless I absolutel...Expand for more
y had to. I loved the horses and chickens. I found that if I had chickens running around I did't have ticks. Plus, we had all the eggs we needed.
During my time in Missouri I started working for Oscar Mayer in their bacon dept first then after 5 years I moved to the ham dept. After 17 years there I retired and have now moved to Sun City, AZ. This is my first year here and have not yet experienced a full summer but I adapted to the below 0 weather of Missouri so I'm sure I can adapt to heat here. I'm the happiest I've been, maybe ever, now. I wouldn't change my past because it's what made me into the person I am today. One of my sons lives a couple miles away from me and the other one lives in Cali so we are all close enough.
