Life does throw you curves! Graduated from Texas Tech Med School in '87 and went to Little Rock, Ark. to do my residency in Psychiatry (4 years) and expected to return to Texas after finishing my Residency but 4 years turned in to 20 before I moved back to Texas a year ago (Tyler) with my husband and our 5 year old son (YES! 5 year old SON!!). I had a great career at the Central Arkansas Veterans' Medical Center in the Mental Health Clinic, specializing in Post-traumatic Stress Disorder and Psychiatric consequences of HIV before I was forced to retire in 2002 due to medical problems. In 2003 I went from Dr. Miller-Turner to "Mommy" for the first time! My husband and I have a handsome, strong-willed son named Clark. I am now a stay at home Mom and still adjusting to the change! I love my life, but sure didn't plan anything like this! We moved to Tyler last year because my brother, Mike and sister, Alisa live here with their families and Clark needed to grow up with family around. It was a difficult decision, but the right one. Loving being back in Texas!!! The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Suzy Gaines, because she died in 10/96 and there has been sooo much that has happended that I wish I could have shared with her, but can't. She would LOVE knowing I dumped my ex, Paul (sleep medicine specialist) after our last reunion!! She would be thrilled to be an "Aunt" to my 5 year old son, Clark and would have loved my current (last one!) husband, John. He is so kind, considerate and handsome, too!
