Jana's Story

It has been a long time since I have talked to many of you. I am married to Randy Magnuson. I met Randy at UMD. We found each other several years later and the rest is history. We have been happily married for 31 years and have two sons...Erik (29) and Chris (26). We have been living in Arizona for 14 years and we absolutely love it here. I moved to California (Westwood, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Huntington Beach) after college (for seven years), and then moved back to Minnesota for thirteen years, until I couldn't hack the weather any more! Randy got a transfer with Honeywell, and this is where we ended up. We still get over to CA every year to see friends and visit our favorite beach...Huntington, of course! Since college I worked as a secretary (while in CA), and then worked with my mom at her shop called Someone's House Gifts and Interiors in Minnesota for many years. My parents move...Expand for more
d to Naples, FL. and sold our shop in Chanhassen. We moved to Arizona soon after and my parents moved here to live near us after a year. I have been part owner of two businesses since moving to Arizona and have rented space in antique and design malls for the past fourteen years. Right now, I rent space in two locations. Avery Lane Home in Scottsdale (where I also work part-time) and Antique Gatherings in Phoenix. You can check them out on line. I also owned my own store front for a few years. Had to close to due to the economy. AZ was hit very hard. If you would like to see my store, just google someoneshouse. I am continuing to take art classes (many of you know that I have a degree in art education). I study oil painting and pastels. Three of my pieces were accepted into a juried show at the Arizona Artist Guild. I still have a lot to learn. I'd love to hear from you! Send me a note!
