Jane's Story
I received a B.A. in writing from the University of Pittsburgh and started a career in technology marketing working for a Pittsburgh-based company. I moved on to accept a vice president position of technology business development for SWBR advertising agency in Allentown, PA. I later worked with Fortune magazine in New York developing special technology sections. In 1984, I founded my own technology marketing company which I built, ran and grew until it was sold to an Asian firm in 2004. I am the current president of the Pitt Alumni Association representing over 307,000 living Pitt alumni worldwide. I have been married to my husband, Jim, for 36 years. e moved to the Arizona desert in 1985 when he joined Intel as their director of factory automation, responsible for automating Intel's 21 factories around the world. We have been fortunate to travel extensively throughout the U.S., most European countries, Russia, Japan, China, Mongolia, Argentina and Christmas Island. We have homes in Phoenix, AZ and Montana's Bitterroot Valley. I still have the strong faith in God that I learned growing up in Carnegie and realize that the bounty in my life comes only from His grace. I am back in Pittsburgh frequently to work with Pitt, visit family and enjoy my Ukrainian heritage with friends and family at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church on Mansfield Boulevard.
