Jane's Story
I did teach school for a short while- Taught band and chorus at Chase HS in Forest City, NC for my first year, then came back to Kinston to teach at Harvey, Adkin, Rochelle Schools until 1976. Opened a private piano studio and worked with my mother at Janie's Christian Bookstore until 1978. Married Allen Farmer in 1977. We have one daughter, Janelle, born in 1981. She resides in Nashville, TN and will probably be getting married in the next year. Then we'll talk about grandchildren!! I missed our 40th reunion because she was in a wedding at the beach( a former piano student and church kid- so I had to be there)

Worked for Lady Remington Jewelry for several years and won several trips. Went to the Caribbean, Europe, Disney World,etc.
I also taught band at Savannah Middle School during the 1989-90 school year. Just could not handle the hassle(discipline mainly) so I settled in with piano.
In 1998, I became the Director of Children's Ministries at Kinston First PH and I really love this job.
Just finished our day long daycamp (KIDS' PRAISE) and am exhausted- getting too old for this!!
This was number 13- not sure how many more I'll make(lol).
I spend most of my time at the church, but when I get a break I love to visit our daughter in Nashville.
