Jane's Story
Life
Hi--I retired about a year and a half ago because of health issues. I spent over 30 years in nursing--a good chunk of that as a nurse anesthetist and most of that time in the U.S. Army. As a vet I have, comparatively speaking, only a few countries that I have visited--11 in all. I've been divorced longer than I was married but have two wonderful children--Jonathan in Raleigh and Debi in Jacksonville, Florida. Jonathan has four children who are the light of my life. Debi and her husband are hoping but are not yet blessed....Expand for more
I've been in Greensboro since 1994 and have established a good life here. I'm active in my parish and I love to quilt and crochet. Now I'm trying to bring things to some sort of closure because I've been diagnosed recently with metastatic bone cancer. That disease, although treatable, is not curable and does not have a long life expectancy. I can't complain, though. God has blessed me abundantly throughout my life--without my having deserved any of it, I might add. To anyone who might read this, may you be blessed as well!
