Life
Years of dealing with arthritis has been quite a challenge for me. My profession of being a paramedic was cut short, my interest in sports, the outdoors, and being active was severely limited......I was angry, mostly at myself for not being able to do what I wanted to do. After a divorce and going back to college, I settled into a career of Human Services....mental health and substance abuse counseling. An interesting field to work in if you could by-pass the govt. red tape. I left this field and started painting again. I hope to be able to market my paintings and other craf...Expand for more
ts at some point. My husband and I have 2 kayaks that we are finding is the most exciting way to see Maine...by water. We have taken several weekend trips throughout the state to tour lakes and rivers. We live on 5 acres of trees and boulders.... a very peaceful place to be. We have 2 Cocker Spaniels and I am involved in Cocker Spaniel rescue and fostering around New England. 2006 is the year of our 40th reunion.....does it seem that long ago we were wide-eyed kids with the world by the tail? I sometimes think I still have the world by the tail...when it doesn't have me that is.
